Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be present for pickup and drop-off?

No, you do not need to be at home. We are happy to access your property in whichever manner you are most comfortable, including via keys, lockboxes, garage codes, etc.

What vaccinations are required for my dog?

For the safety of all dogs in our programs, we require that all dogs are up-to-date with the core vaccinations: rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and canine hepatitis. Additionally, it is strongly recommended that dogs be current on Bordetella and leptospirosis, due to the increased likelihood of exposure to other animals.

Does my dog need to be spayed/neutered?

Yes, dogs must be spayed or neutered to participate. However, we make exceptions for puppies, provided their behavior does not pose a concern. Research suggests that waiting longer before spaying/neutering may reduce cancer rates, and we aim to accommodate this. We also ensure that intact male and female dogs are never scheduled together.

I have a new puppy! When can they start?

Puppies are typically ready to join our program after they have completed their final round of vaccinations, which generally occurs by 16 weeks of age. We would be happy to welcome your puppy after this time.

What does the intake process involve?

The intake process begins with completing our intake forms. We will then schedule a brief meet-and-greet to ensure that your dog is a good fit for our program, both for their own well-being and for the safety of other dogs. After the consultation, we will proceed with scheduling, taking into account your dog's temperament and needs. While we strive to accommodate your preferred days and times, we may suggest alternatives based on your dog's requirements.

Where do you walk the dogs?

We rotate among various neighborhoods and parks throughout the Denver area. To minimize travel time, we typically select locations close to your dog's pickup point. Popular destinations include Washington Park, Cheesman Park, Hilltop, and others.

What are your pickup and drop-off times?

  • Morning Walks: Pickup from 9:00 to 9:30 AM, walk from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, and drop-off from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.

  • Midday Walks/ Drop-Ins: Scheduled between 11:00 to 12:30 AM in 30 minute increments.

  • Afternoon Walks: Pickup from 12:30 to 1:00 PM, walk from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, and drop-off from 2:00 to 2:30 PM.

Do you walk dogs during inclement weather?

We are happy to walk dogs in all kinds of weather, so you don't have to worry about it! However, there are exceptions: If road conditions are unsafe, we will cancel services for the day to ensure the safety of both our staff and the dogs. Additionally, if temperatures are extremely cold (e.g., single digits or with unsafe windchill), we may cancel walks. In such cases, we offer discounted in-home drop-ins to provide your dog with a potty break and some attention.

Do you offer weekend walks?

Weekends are primarily reserved for overnight clients, but please feel free to reach out, and we will let you know if we can accommodate your request. Weekend walks are subject to an additional $5 charge to the base rate.

Are there increased rates for holidays?

While our walking rates remain the same during holidays that services are offered, we do observe the following holidays by taking the day off: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Overnight stays during holiday weeks incur an additional $20 charge to the base rate and require a non-refundable 50% deposit, which will be applied toward the cost of the stay.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • Walks canceled more than 24 hours in advance will incur no fee.

  • Walks canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a 50% fee.

  • No-show walks will be charged at the full rate.
